What have you been expected to accept as 'normal?' Is it 'normal' for 3 billionaires to hold $541 billion while 64% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck? Is it 'normal' that 1 in 10 households is food insecure? Is it 'normal' that real wages have barely budged since the 1970s?

Think about this. The average billionaire on the Forbes 400 list could spend $10,000 every single day for 274 years and still have billions of dollars left in the bank. Don't you think that maybe, just maybe, these guys should be paying more in income tax than a teacher?

I stand in solidarity with more than 7,000 @nynurses on strike at Mount Sinai Hospital & Montefiore Medical Center. If these hospitals could increase their assets by over $1 billion in 2021, they can afford to pay their nurses fair wages and treat them with dignity & respect.

Southwest Airlines is a company which spent $5.6 billion on stock buybacks for wealthy shareholders while the workers who keep the airline running work 16-18 hour days and passengers are stranded during the holiday season. Unacceptable. https://t.co/bBpg1gdnaB

Jane and I want to wish you and yours a safe and happy new year. In the year ahead, we must fight harder than ever to create a nation that leads the world in the struggle for peace, and for economic, social, racial and environmental justice.
